Hyderabad: IT major Infosys on Monday announced a collaboration with Proximus, Belgium’s primary digital services and communications provider.

Together, they are driving an IT modernization and consolidation project aimed at enhancing Proximus’ technological infrastructure and expanding its service range, including fiber and new digital offerings to a broader customer base.

Infosys spearheaded this initiative, acting as a pivotal managing partner, aligning Proximus’ and its affiliate’s systems under an outcome-based model.

The comprehensive project, covering over 70 applications and various vendors, was efficiently completed within schedule and budget constraints. This effort led to the modernization of the affiliate’s technology stack, ensuring scalability, swift market entry, and an expanded service portfolio.

Antonietta Mastroianni, Chief Digital & IT Officer at Proximus, emphasised the importance of integrating deeper into Proximus’ IT infrastructure to improve service quality and offerings. Infosys, as the managing partner, successfully navigated this complex transition, implementing an adaptive operating model that ensured timely project completion and superior delivery.

Anand Swaminathan, Executive Vice President, Infosys, said: "Serving as the managing partner, Infosys facilitated the end-to-end delivery of this intricate project, aiding Proximus and its affiliate in expanding connectivity and introducing new digital services to a wider audience."
